Zoo
Beauval zoo, with the richest collection in France, is just a few miles away in nearby St. Aignan. It is well worth the 16 Euro (11 Euro for children) entrance fee and attracts 4.5 million visitors a year. Web site: ZooParc de Beauval
Theme Parks
Miniature chateaux park near Amboise (Mini-châteaux - Welcome), just 10 mins. from the aquarium.
Futuroscope is a well-known attraction and around two hours away via Tours and the A10 motorway, just north of Poitiers.
Beach
There is a safe sandy beach by the river Cher, ideal for play, paddling and picnics.
Play Areas
All the usual slides and swings are available in the village, together with a skate boarding area for bigger kids.
Aquarium
There are two aquariums in the region, the Aliotis (Aquarium de Sologne), near Romorantin and the Aquarium du Val de Loire near Amboise (Aquarium du Val de Loire - Welcome)
Narrow Guage Railway
Popular with tourists, this railway is still used on a daily basis by the locals using it for school and shopping. From the station at Chabris you can travel north to Romorantin, or south through Valencay and deep into the Berry countryside.
